Barev Centre is launching Armenian Voices: Modern Songs, a new community choir for anyone who loves to sing, and the first rehearsal takes place on Thursday, 1 October.
The choir is led by Musical Director Athena Ani Babayan. The repertoire centres on modern Armenian songs, with a cappella arrangements, jazz classics, pop and other favourites — songs you already know and love.
No formal singing experience is required. Just bring your love of singing; singing skills or experience are a bonus.
When: Thursdays, 7:30 – 9:00 p.m., 1 October 2026 to 27 May 2027 (31 sessions)
Where: Barev Centre, 922 Progress Ave, Toronto

Fee: $280 for the season (31 sessions)
