ST. SAHAG & ST. MESROB ARMENIAN
SATURDAY SCHOOL
St. Sahag & St. Mesrob Armenian Saturday School was founded in 1956 under the auspices of the Holy Trinity Armenian Church of Toronto. It is the oldest Armenian language school in Toronto. The vision of the school is to create an environment where students have the opportunity to connect with and be immersed in their Armenian heritage by exploring its cultural dimensions including religion, Armenian history, art, literature, and music through the study of the Armenian language. The Armenian Studies program of the school promotes Armenian education to preserve the Armenian faith, language and culture and to prepare the future leaders of the community to take pride in their Armenian heritage and to make valuable contributions within the Armenian Community and society at large.
In the past five years, the school’s enrolment has progressively increased to over 300 students in the current academic year.
The School offers classes from Kindergarten to Grade 8, ages 3-13. In addition, there are six separate classes that specialize in the Eastern Armenian dialect (Armenia proper). The primary language of instruction in the school is in Western Armenian. For more information or to enroll your child, please contact us.
