Barev Centre is launching Barev Chess for Children, a Saturday chess club that begins on Saturday, 17 October.
No experience is needed. We teach from the first move, and boards and pieces are provided. Children learn the rules, simple tactics and good sportsmanship in a friendly, welcoming group.
The club runs for 27 Saturdays, from 17 October 2026 through to 19 June 2027.
When: Saturdays, 1:45 – 2:45 p.m., 17 October 2026 to 19 June 2027 (27 Saturdays)
Where: Forest Manor Public School, 25 Forest Manor Road, North York
Fee: $200 for the season
Registration is now open. Please submit one form per child — if you are registering two children, fill the form in twice.
